​International Status

​The project is international: since 2007, over 12,500 artists from 37 countries and 238 cities have participated in the Russian Art Week. The jury consists of experts from Russia, Europe, Asia, and America.

​Age of Participants

​Authors over 16 years of age are eligible to participate in the exhibition. There are three professional categories of participants: "Professionals", "Students", and "Amateurs".

​Competition Program

​A competition is held as part of the exhibition. Works are evaluated by an Expert Council of 50+ Russian and foreign experts: art historians, gallerists, curators, artists, and patrons of the arts.

​Professional Level

​At the Russian Art Week, winners are determined separately in each of the three categories.

  • ​“Professionals” — members of creative unions and associations, as well as authors professionally engaged in art without membership.
  • “Amateurs” — authors without special art education, for whom creativity is a hobby and a way of self-realization.
  • “Students” — students of specialized art educational institutions, as well as graduates who completed their studies no earlier than 2 years before the exhibition date.
​Ways of Participation

​The competition program provides for three forms of participation:

  • ​In-person participation — the author personally presents the original works at the exhibition (with mounts, rigid backing, and labels). Return — on the closing day.
  • In-absentia / Correspondence participation — the author sends electronic photos of the works; the organizing committee prints them (format A3–A0), designs and places them in the exposition. Diplomas are sent by mail. It is recommended to subscribe to the project's social networks for information.
  • Distance participation — the author sends the original works by mail to the organizing committee (Moscow, Gogolevsky Boulevard, 14 bldg. 3, "GOGOL ART"). The organizing committee receives and places the works at the exhibition. Transportation of works in both directions is at the participant's expense.

​Competition Program

​All participants in the competition program of the Russian Art Week simultaneously take part in the exhibition and the fair: works are displayed in the general exposition and can be sold if the author indicated the price of the work in the label data.

Section "Monumental Art":
I. Monumental Painting Competition

IV. Bas-Relief and High-Relief Competition
V. Monumental and Decorative Panel Competition

​The Russian Art Week is held in the form of an exhibition-competition with mandatory evaluation of the submitted works by members of the international jury. Registered works are exhibited at the Moscow venue — at GOGOL ART (Moscow Center for Contemporary Arts) at the address: Gogolevsky Boulevard, 14, bldg. 3. Numerous master classes, lectures, and creative meetings are organized as part of the project.
