I. Classical Sculpture Competition

This is a space for those who remain faithful to traditions and work in an academic manner. Plaster, marble, bronze, wood — here, realistic volumes, precise knowledge of plastic anatomy, and impeccable command of material are important.

Nominations:

  1. Sculptural Portrait — conveying the character, inner world, and individual features of the model in three-dimensional execution.
  2. Figure — depiction of the human body in statics or movement, requiring precise knowledge of plastic anatomy and composition.
  3. Animalistic Sculpture — creation of three-dimensional images of animals, conveying their character, grace, and natural plasticity.
  4. Relief — a sculptural image on a plane, from bas-relief to high-relief, where form is born from depth or protrudes into space.
  5. Multi-Figure Composition — construction of a complex scene with several characters united by a common subject and interaction.
  6. Mythological and Historical Composition — images of ancient myths, legends, and significant events of the past, embodied in sculptural plasticity and preserving a connection with the great narratives of human culture.

II. Small Plastic Arts Competition

In this competition, intimacy, detail, and elegance are valued. Works created for interior or collecting require particular finesse of execution and the ability to convey expressiveness in a limited scale. Materials: clay, porcelain, wood, glass, metal.

Nominations:

  1. Statuette and Miniature — intimate sculpture for the interior, where form acquires elegance in a small size.
  2. Intimate Portrait — an intimate image of a person, executed in small form with attention to detail and psychologism.
  3. Animalistic Sculpture in Small Plastic Arts — animals in miniature, where natural precision combines with artistic generalization.
  4. Authorial Doll — a character made of wood, textile, porcelain, or polymer materials, carrying image and character.
  5. Art Object in Small Form — an independent work combining decorativeness and conceptuality in a limited scale.
  6. Miniature Composition — a multi-figure or object scene unfolding a story in a small space.

III. Monumental Sculpture Competition

Here, scale of thinking and the ability to enter into dialogue with space are evaluated. Large forms for parks, squares, and architectural environments require a special sense of scale, context, and material.

Nominations:

  1. Monument and Memorial — a large form dedicated to a historical figure or event, working with the urban environment and public meaning.
  2. Park Sculpture — harmonious integration of form into the natural landscape, dialogue with vegetation and space.
  3. Decorative Urban Sculpture — decoration of the urban environment, creating points of attraction through plasticity and image.
  4. Architectural-Sculptural Composition — the union of sculpture with architecture, working in the context of a facade, colonnade, or interior.
  5. Sculptural Relief in Space — a large-scale relief image organizing a wall or plane and changing the perception of space.
  6. Memorial Sculpture — an image turned toward memory, containing sorrow, respect, and philosophical reflection on time.

IV. Experimental Sculpture Competition

This competition is created for bold authors who are not afraid to go beyond habitual frameworks. Non-standard materials, moving structures, work with light, found objects, and multimedia — here everything becomes an instrument of artistic statement.

Nominations:

  1. Kinetic Sculpture — a moving construction, where movement becomes part of the artistic image and interacts with space.
  2. Installation with Objects — a three-dimensional composition of objects, rethinking space and creating a new reality.
  3. Art Object from Non-Standard Materials — the use of unexpected materials: plastic, scrap metal, fabric, glass, rubber, light.
  4. Sculpture from Glass and Light — work with transparency, refraction, and reflection, where light becomes an equal material.
  5. Multimedia Sculpture — the union of three-dimensional form with technologies: projection, sound, movement, creating a synthetic image.
  6. Assemblage and Object Art — a collage of three-dimensional elements, where real objects become part of an artistic statement.
  7. Textile Sculpture — soft plasticity created from fabric, threads, felt, where the material dictates particular tactility and form.

It is important to participate, interesting to watch, and useful to listen. That is how one can describe the atmosphere of the "Russian Art Week" — a place where creativity, education, and communication merge into a single stream of inspiration.
The "Russian Art Week" is not just a competition. It is a map of the contemporary Russian art world, marking all the main directions: from the familiar painting and graphics to bold digital experiments and monumental forms.

In addition to the exhibition and competition programs, the "Russian Art Week" offers participants and guests an extensive educational and business program: master classes and lectures, conferences, business meetings, presentation sessions for authors, and a unique format — the "Art Ring", where leading experts engage in live dialogue about trends and the future of art.
